True Trac Carrier problems

Has any one heard of this? My TT would not hold the splined end of the axle firm. I could grab my tire when jacked up and rock it back and forth. There would be abouth 1/8 inch movement. There was no movement in and out. I took the Diff cover off and had a friend rock the tire/wheel and I could hear movement in the carrier. I could also here a bumping noise when crossing rough terrian. It did not start this till after a trip to Uwahrrie. I replaced the wheel bearings but no change in the play or the noise. I sent the Carrier back to Eaton under warrentry. They said there was nothing wrong with it. I belive there is. I know the TT is a good unit but I think I got a bad one. Any One ever heard of This ?
