Opinions on running a Truetrac in a D30. I'm going to regear soon to 4.56's and might as well up grade the front to a LSD or locker. My set up is a 04 Unlimited w/auto, 33's and powertrax in the rear (I'm going to stick with the powertrax for now for $$ reasons) Plans are to wheel monthly-URE, Tellico, etc...

it works OK...I had TrueTracs front and rear for a year, and had good success with them...

now have ARB's front and rear...

put the D30 TrueTrac in her TJ...and have the D44 TrueTrac in the garage...

personally, a rear TrueTrac and a front Powertrax are probably a better combo if you drive on the street...

True tracs work better with a little power braking through our experience. This is especially true of your auto Jeep. The guys with manuals maybe not so much. The True trac is better than nothing obviously but the effect increases a lot with power braking. In mud they work great (a lot of tire spin).
