Anyone know of a tire store in NC besides 4wheelparts that stocks these?
I need'em in a 265x75x16 and would like to buy them from someone in NC that stocks them in case if there are any balance problems can be swapped out if necessary.

I am running them (kind of running anyway) in a 35x12.5. I got mine from 4WP because of the warranty. A buddy of mine (ncjeepinyj) is also running them in a 35x12.5 on his YJ and got them from RimZone I think in Mooresville.
 
I also got a set from 4WP. They balanced great and I did need the warranty when I sliced one at URE.
 
You can't beat 4WP's tire warranty or there prices. Especially if you order them online when there is a sale. I priced my 38.5 TSLSXs at about 10 places and noone could even come close to what I paid for them at 4WP.

This is where the kinda running thing comes into play. 4 days after I got em on is when I put a hole in the motor. But for those 4 days and today (got the Heep back) they rode fine. I am planning on trying out Dynabeads when I eventually toss a weight or the tires are out of balance.

Not sure what your saying here...but as i was saying, I would rather buy from a family owned shop rather then a chain like 4wheelparts because mom and pop shops usually have more flexibility in pricing.
 
Thats where I bought my Iroks. The pad balancing was included in the price and was cheaper than 4WPW. If your current set of tires are not completely shot they will probably allow you some trade value.

I've tried other places but keep coming back...

he means he's only had them for four days...so he can't really give a good impression of how they ride...

he installed them, drove for four days, then blew a hole in his motor...and just got the TJ back, so he's only driven on them one more day since then...


I understand the mom-n-pop thing...but for tires, 4WP all the way...

Andy @ CRS gets most of my money, but the tire warranty at 4WP makes it worth my while...called them this weekend, from the trail in Crozet, and asked Kyle to have me one ready when I got back in town, cause I just ripped a hole in an Irok...

That is exactly what I meant. Thanks for the translation Greg. ;)

I have a strong dislike for 4WP as do most people but the tire warranty is hard to beat. And they did price match my Trxus MT's. I think it is admirable that you want to give the little guy your business but sometimes you gotta do what is best for you. For me that was to get em from 4WP so I have some recourse if I cut a sidewall or something different.
 
Not your requirements, but DCWD always gives you a lower price then 4WP.
And I thought he was a donating member on this board.

No...i'm sorry I don't

I DO remember I traded in a set of wheels and tires and got more than I expected, and their price on the tires, MOUNTED, was less than anyone elses

you may or may not believe this, i called yesterday and talked to Lenard or Leroy or something that started with an L and got a quote for 800 dollars mounted and balanced. That's f-in insane. Ive priced them everywhere else and got quotes of 128 to 136 per tire before balancing. The quote he did give me was for a set of 285 75 16's instead of the 265's i was wanting. Be it so...there's not that much of a difference.
800 for everything or 725 without.

4wps is looking better each day

I got my 35x12.5's for $704 mounted and balanced on a price match. Toss in another $71 for the off road warranty and I think I did rather well at 4WP.

Lester the molester :D

He doesn't communicate well over the phone. Just think, he probibly has to give 500 quotes a day on the phone to people he'll never see....but see's 200 people who PAY him.

Now granted, if he were SMART he'd deal in better people skills, but he's OLD SCHOOL as hell and will really only wheel and deal in person.

I won't lie...it's WORK to deal with Lester....he's hard headed and I think he's losing it a bit in the head memory wise....but in PERSON you'll get allot further than on the phone.
 
I can say I bought one set of 35x12.50 15 Procomp MT's from 4WPW. It was during the buy 3 get 1 free deal they have every March. The store in Charlotte had the tires but only 3 rims. So the salesman asked if I could have them delivered. That was on Saturday and by the next Thursday a truck was in front of the house unloading a pallet with 4 wheels and tires mounted and balanced. He didn't charge any extra for the shipping.
 
That'd be him....I would rather do it in person too, but its a long ways to drive just to get a price quote.

I talked to Andy on here yesterday at CRS and im going with them. Its local,warrantied and the cheapest. Andy and CRS are great to peeps to deal with and id rather give a small scale shop like that my money anyday over 4wp.
