I have been looking at manual tube benders lately and im thinking about buying one. My question is what bender do you use and what do you think about it? Im looking for a good bender but cheaper price ($600 or around that). Ive been looking at the pro tools website and also polyperformance.com. Are there any others?

My preference would no doubt be pro tools hd model. Though, I do wonder what happened to the guy in asheville that started selling his on pbb almost a year ago at a very good price...

Trick Tools Bender. very nice and makes some purdy bends. I think the web site is tricktools.com

Which one? They sell jdsquared and jmr. Either way, manual benders are all pretty close, with all of the hd versions being close strenght-wise.
That being said, pro tools is cheaper and more diy-friendly than jd2, and from all I've heard customer service and shipping is better.

Search pbb, this has been covered quite a bit.

its the jd2. works great.

i have a JD2, i have used the protools, i have used manual and hydraulic, they are all good. Get what you can afford. I will say i think the degree wheel on the Protools is a little more user friendly.

i have the same bender as butchcj-8 and it does work great.very simple to make and operate.the biggest thing is it is not bolted to the floor, you can move it around.

I'm fixin' to build the one from the plans. There is a good thread on pirate in the "shop and tools" section titled something like "DIY Bender" or close to it. Some good design mods to the plans. edit: here is the thread: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=376183

Advantage to the DIY one is that it does use an air over hydraulic cylinder to do the work, and the bend is vertical, so you can use an angle finder to measure the bend, instead of a degree wheel or trial and error.
