looking at getting the protools 105hd and one of the options is a 120 degree die or a 240 degree. i realize that the 240 will bend farther(i think that is what it means) but which are you guys using? is there a huge benefit of the 240 over the 120? any info would help this newbie bendee. one other question what die did you guys get for your first run with a bender. just so ya know i am going to do bumpers first and eventually a cage(after alot of practice that is)

1.75" is the one I see most start with.
Down the road, when a friend wants to use the bender, tell them sure, buy the 1" die.:bounce:

The 240 will allow you to bend a loop like a U shape. The 120 won't make it quite that far. It might be an issue for the bumper projects you are talking about.
Another thing to take notice of is the radius of the bends. I would rather be able to bend 120 with a 6" radius, than 240 with a 10" radius (just an example, not sure on actual numbers).

Take this for what it is worth, from someone still "borrowing" bender time...
