I'm thinking of taking my tubing bender from stock manual rachet to hydraulic. Now my delima, air/hydro upgrade from jd2 is big money. Has anyone used a porta-power to upgrade their bender or is it not worh it. I would acutally like to turn it on it's side and make it a vertical on a roll around cart so it doesn't take up as much room. But i don't think i can do that as long as it's a rachet style.

ive tried it all cause im a tight ass and it only ended up costing me more money.. ive did the air over hydraulic with the motor hoist style ram. that worked for a while but never as good as i expected. then went with air foot pump but still didnt opt for the nice ram. went with the tractor supply tire rod ram similiar to the ones you put on your buggy. 2 chassis later i bent 2 rams. ($350) wasted. so now i finally have the nice set up like trick tools sells which is a porta power ram it only comes with a threaded block that allowes you to use it with your bender. i also now have the mud pro verticle stand with wheels which is very nice because it allowes the use of a digital angle finder. ill post somes pics. of my set up.

here is the stand when i picked it up ... he also powder coated and finishes these with nice casters but that tight ass thing creaped up again
