U-Joint C clips

On a Dana 30 the inner C clips that hold the U joint caps on.
Is there a trick to making them stay on after a U joint change.
I have had a couple get loose.

Are you using the new clips with the new joint?

Take a small ball ping hammer and knock them in. Then the clips should go in and stay seated.

Thanks for the reply . TheJoint was installed by someone else. I took the shaft out. Cleaned the groove and slipped them back on. I have not done U joints with inner clips before. That is why I ask. Thanks for the Tips.

I've heard that the half c clips will come out.....it's best to use the full circle snap rings
