I'm lookin at colleges and UNCC is one of the schools im lookin at goin to. I know there are a couple people on here that go to UNCC or went there. Just wonderin what some of yall had to say about it good or bad.

depends on what you are looking for, and what you are looking to study....

UNCC is a good school, and I really liked the campus compared to alotta others... they have good programs for Engineering, Business, Teaching, and Nursing (probly others as well, those are the main ones)...

there is alotta stuff to do, and nite-life around there, but it isnt like most colleges.... it is dead on the weekends for the most part there, cuz alotta ppl go home, or live off campus...

so, it all depends on what you want in a college...

Yeah... what do you want to study?

Also, it typically is "dead" on campus on the weekends... I think that has to w/ the close proximity to uptown, the lake, etc... no reason to stay on campus...

Come on up the mountain if you want to see where the REAL college is. Give ASU a look. Its worth your while for sure.

The campus is never dead, theres always something to do, your within walking distance of just about everything...good times.

I currently attend UNCC. I am also greek, I don't agree that campus is dead you just have to know the right people and things do to, the great thing about charlotte is there is always something to do and the school is growing as well as it's prestige. PM if you have specific questions.

Hope that helps, Nic-

Ha, not if he wants to do engineering or any kind of applied science degree like that.
I'm proud of my ASU heritage, but it's a lib arts school and only strong in certain areas.
Like that degree in "home herbiculture"...

uncc is a very good school for engineering..and they got a new kick ass front entrance..looks fraggin sweet at night

Haha, yeah I agree with that.

Good thing they have a decent Biology program

I went to UNCC for Mechanical Engineering (w/ focus in motorsports). Loved it, got what I feel is a great engineering education with a lot of hands-on real world experience by being involved in the motorsports program. Also met a ton of people in the industry while I was there, although I don't currently do anything motorsports related for a career, just a hobby.

There are a lot of commuters and most people go home on the weekends but I wouldn't say it's dead on the weekends. It all depends on what circles you run in.

How come you're looking at colleges and you're not listed as underage?

Hwy, now, a lot of folks don't go to college straight out of high school.
A very good friend of mine is a Senior at The Hill right ow at the age of 31. And, notably, spankin the pants off his classmates on grades b/c after years of doing grunt jobs, he really appreciates the education he's getting.

I considered that possibility, but it just didn't strike me as the case.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that the 09 at the end of his name stands for his high school graduating class, Class of '09.

I went to ASU as well. Great school of Business and awesome chemestry/biology program. Not as many hot girls as UNCC but great area. Either schools are great. Stay away from WCU and UNCA. WCU has nothing to do outside the school and UNCA is the new San Fransisco of the mountains... :gay:

i think im lookin to go for landscape architecture or construction management but i'm not too sure yet.

Yea UNCC should suffice.

I call BS on this one......Well the WCU part, I can't speak for UNCA......There is plenty to do in the whee if you want to get out in the mountains, good fishing, camping, hiking, tubing, wheelin. There might not be a big city close by but when I was up there I was never bored.

Yeah the weekend campin and wheelin was always the best part along with gettin on the rivers once in a while.
workin on the trucks in the parkin lot sucks though.
especially if you live on the other side of campus from where you have to park.
