So I'm in the middle of swapping motors in my XJ and just noticed a big problem. The donor motor is from a ZJ automatic and I'm mating it to a 5spd. The back of the crank is different and won't accept the pilot bearing. Suggestions?

You never said what you ended up doing in your other thread, but looks like the bearing assembly you took out then is something like you could use now.

I forgot about that post. It was for a friend so I never actually worked on it.
When I just replaced my clutch and pilot bearing a couple of weeks ago I found out there is a big "spacer" in there when I tried to remove my pilot bearing. It came out with it and I was not expecting that.

Update:
Part#69907 National Bearing

Grabbed the cheapo version from Autozone and it fell in. Took it back and grabbed a National Bearing from OREILLY. Fits correctly. The Autozone brand was out of tolerance.

Thanks for the help.

I was about to post and see you have it figured out. There are 2 or 3 different pilot bearings over the years.
