Anyone got any tricks. Mine are on 20" Rockstomper beadlocks. Thick azz sidewalls aren't to good for flexing. Any tips would be appreciated.

i dont have any but if you need some manpower i can swing buy to help you out

try the hi-lift/heavy SUV or bigger on the sidewall
Thanks for the help, but the bead is already busted - I am just having a problem fitting the rim through the opposite to pull it off of the tire - does that make sense?

got you...........damn i have know idea..........maybe caver dave or someone else will chime in and help........sorry

never done one that big but just make sure the opposite side is getting pushed down into the deepest ( part of the rim.. Take some pics too !! :D

Lots and lots of tire lube... Napa has gallon jugs of it for just a couple of dollars. Sure has made mounting and unmounting tires on beadlocks alot easier. Big pry bar helps too

Yeah, I have my old Shop manager bringing three big tire irons up to the house this evening - we will see how it works out. The size of the bead on these tires is massive - no thorns going through those things - anyone else have any tips??

I've had better luck using 2 or 3 heavy duty screw drivers instead of big bulky bry pars. Lot's of lube and just go a little bit at a time. Keep holding what you already got with the last screw driver used. To get the second bead off, flip the tire/wheel over and set the wheel on something so the tire wants to fall down, away from the wheel.

Trash, no cheet man - I had to cut one of the bead bolts off with a torch yesterday - I just about decided to melt the damn thing down - even had a minor fire :D to go along with my rage. If it wasn't for scarface (shane) I don't think I could have picked the damn thing up

Sandler, I don't think a screwdriver is up for the challenge. The only thing it could do is hold the tire at it's current position so it doesn't fall behind the bead again. Will probably use the tip though. I have changed hundreds of big truck tires, all manual labor, but their damn sidewalls aren't this thick.

breakin down 53s

We had to use a mini-excavator to get the wheel out of ours. Just placed the blade on the sidewall and tied a chain through the wheel to the bucket and pull. Worked awesome, if you have the equipment.

no progress

Last night we pryed like hell with a 32 inch pry bry and two tire irons to get these off - no luck we could get about 4 inches out of the bead and that is it. I am getting ready to try the mini trac hoe method - We are going to call the Michelin dealer in GSO today and see if they have any ideas. Oh, here are some pics.

burn them off then repaint the wheels hahaha

I have a hard enough time with my 42"s, couldnt imagine 53"s. Get some friends over and start shooting some tequila, all get in a mad fighting frenzy and theyll pop right off.

What are you putting those under? I know the 2500HD isnt up for those....dum dum dum....or is it?

Nuts,

I had to cut one of the bead bolts off with a torch and thought i was going to burn the damn tire off the rim. Wasn't too bad, but it could have been.

It would take a 5 gallon bucket of tequillia and some serious ass whoopin' to get them to pop off - I'll get the damn things off somehow.

The 2500 would look sweet with those - would be something fun to try - why don't you buy it and an 6 ft. extended gooDneck trailer to haul you buggy on - Ha Ha

Them are big meats....

I don't have any suggestions other than to take it to a place that does tractor tires. Don't know how much it would cost to unmount one either, but it might be chaeper than a gallon of Jose`.

I don't know if this will even help or not. May be stupid and it's not a perfect world but. tey using two high lift jacks. One on each side? I'm not sure if this is possible but it might work.

This is what I plan on for this evening. I am going to use the loader on the tractor and some chain to try and pull the rim through the tire bead - we will see how that works. Hopefully it will pull right through and not pick that heavy azz tire up with it. If so I will have to find something heavy to hold it all down on the ground. More pics to come tomorrow I reckon.

How about a Tug-O-War between your Dad's F350 and Jason's Chevy? Chain the tire to Jason's truck and the wheel to your dad's and let it rip. I'll be sitting out on the porch tonight listening for the results. ;)

On one condition and we will try it. I want you to sit in the bed of the F350 and catch that heavy azz wheel before it crashes through the back glass and rips my head off. Not too bad of idea - Maybe we can rig it to your winch somehow. We just need to figure out how to hold the tire still.

On a serious note, if you need any help let me know. I am not doing anything tonight.
