Urgent help needed

Ok so me and my gf were just swaping in a new to me wheel bearing and the worst has happened i neglected to think about gunk in the bolt holes and completely destroyed the threads on the bolt does anyone in the troy / ure area have a spare d30 wheel bearing / hub bolt i can have. I have a bunch of spares in raliegh but would really prefer not to drive there Thanks so much for the help :beer:
 
I think you are saying one of the bolts had gunk on it and that caused the threads your wheel bearing to get messed up?
 
It does not have to be a 12 point head on the bolt like that factory has. Just head to lowes or home depot and grab a grade 8 bolt with the same thead. But like said earlier, just put two in and drive it. I have done it before. It will get you home.
 
Sounds like the perfect time to get rid of the stupid 12 point jeep bolts and put a real 6 point set in there.
 
I'd prefer the 12-point over the 6-point, and IIRC those bolts have a certain taper to them that is not found on your traditional fastener. I have a handful of them aswell but they won't do you a bit of good from down here. There is bound to be someone who has one laying around.
