Uwharrie Sept 11 day run. Anyone interested?

Hey, I'm brand new to NC. Haven't been out wheeling yet. Finally got a free day off on a weekend and wanted to check out Uwharrie? I know the Beach Bash is going on this weekend, but by chance anyone interested in hitting up Uwharrie for the day Saturday Sept 11?
Or if there is a regular meeting time and place each weekend where rigs tend to convene, I'm in to that as well.

you can probly hook up with someone at the Eldorado outpost.
thats is where most ppl meet up
 
I'm hoping I'll be able to go.
Don't really have the funds to make another trip down there though.
 
Nice! So...just show up to Eldorado Post around 8:00-9:00 or so? Sound great. Just locked up the front and eager to see what will change.
 
Most groups seem to leave The Outpost between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Doubt if you will catch many there before 9 but yeah, just show, introduce yourself around and ask to tag along.
 
I might be able to make it down for a day run if I get my new gears broken-in in time. I'm in Durham too if you want to caravan.

I'm in Durham Watts-Hillandale - new resident at Duke. Caravan is great idea. Let me know what time we should leave and where to meet up.
From San Antonio - born and raised. Unfortunately never in Texas, only in the SouthEast (lived in Hotlanta for a year). First run ever after 10 year jeep build was Dixie Run '08! Only twice did the spotters have to grab the cage mid-roll to keep me from wrecking a dream on day 1. =0)
 
I'm really hoping to go, it just all depends on a few things for me.
I'll find out by mid-day tomorrow and let you guys know.
 
Brian, It looks more like I will need to "caravan" from the Passenger seat.I'd love to go though.

Hey, I'm in the same area! Feel free to let me know if you ever need a hand working on your Jeep or anything. I should know if I'm going to be able to go by tonight.
 
I had big plans leave this evening and flog Harlan all weekend, but, my crap is all over the garage right now. Taking the rest of the evening and tomorrow off to slap it back together. With loosing a day, I am going to go somewhere closer. I have never been to URE or Mountain City so it's between the two.

I will be in a chopped up LandCruiser on spanked tsl's so say hello if you see me on my lid or cussing parts.
 
A few friends and I are discussing going, just need to take care of a few things first. We would probably come up in the early afternoon saturday and camp for the night.

hey sweetk30 i see you made down,hope n.c. is good to ya. looks like every body backed out on saturday but i'm loaded and going to be at the outpost around 9:00 in the morning. red dodge dually and red yj,if anyone makes it mabey we can hook up.

Got outta there, but not till about 4...didn't have all the tools and jacking it up on the hill was a B!

Glad you got it out of there. We didn't leave the trails til about 6:30. How'd you eventually get it to roll with the broke pinion?
