This will be our first regular season workday for 2011. The work day email with the schedule hasn't been sent out yet, but from talking to Terry Savery in person she has said the work days will be the 3rd weekend of every month. This holding true, the April workday will be the 16th.
I know all the guard rail didn't get installed so there will be some of that. Unless something changes we don't have the resources for a Bobcat rental this workday. So we will be using "Big Red" our two-man auger. I don't know how much guard rail we will have to install, so expect other light duty tasks to be tossed in there like carsonite sign install etc.
Once again as far as tools go, post hole diggers, tamps, rock bars, shovels, rakes, etc are all good things to bring. Usually the Forest Service has some tools, but you just never know based on how many groups show up. This is another unique work day in the fact we will have the Underground House/Cabin for the weekend (Friday afternoon-Sunday morning). So if you are coming out for the work day, there are 3 spots or so still at the cabin, its $20 a night per person for the cabin. You can't beat a/c, hot showers, full kitchen, etc after a day working/riding the trails.
Tentative Schedule will be:
8AM : Volunteer Breakfast at the Outpost.
9AM : Meet at the Hunt Camp
1PM : LUNCH at the Hotdog Stand (Presumably)
If anything changes when I get the work day e-mail/schedule I will post it up here. Lets make this another great turn out and kick the official season off the right way!
