A group of us went out for a UNF run this weekend. Aside from being more dusty then I've ever seen it we had a great time! Saw a lot of cool rigs, including a Nissan club, a big Willys buggy, the Artic-Camo toyota from this board, some troopers and a unimog!

Some rocks decided they wanted my exhaust and wrenched it off for me. This suited me fine as I didn't get hung up on it anymore after that.

That thing was cool. You could take 10 of your buddies and plenty of spare parts on your wheelin trips. Not much flex but plenty of ground clearance and it seemed to climb pretty well. It was fun watching something different coming up kodak.
 
I was there the same day, say you guys at kodak, i was driving the blue toyota 4runner with my friend with the camo truck, we left at 4 and dutch john was closed

I'm one of the "fire is good for the forest" people. Lots of that area really needed a burn over to bring down the fuel levels. Of course, it's better if they are planned and controlled burns.

What I got to thinking today though...they are out there chasing around these burns with what? ...fireplows. I bet they don't reopen UNF until these "new trails" are blocked or fenced. :( How's that for pessimistic?

We did stop :rolleyes: We called the Ranger station too. We got out with shovels but were told to scram by the Ranger. He was on foot and came out of nowhere. He said "I wouldn't want to be here when the man gets here". So we loaded up and split. There was no putting it out with 50 guys tho. It was burning from the top of the trail all the way to the bottom. :rolleyes:

Not quite Dave but it felt like I might any second. Shawn was driving his TJ, that was his brother Josh in the burgundy XJ.

Thanks Ion, only took me four months to finish it, and the fenders.
