v10 dodge

I have a guy looking to trade me a 01 v10 dodge on a deal. Never owned a goat and really dont know anything about the v10's. Lets hear what ya think about them..........

Guy I swapped my F150 for said that he had one...he uses it to pull his trailer and stuff with, but he preferred pulling with the Suburban, just wasn't practical for him anymore...

They Drink alot of gas and have a gnarly amount of horsepower!

buddy's got a 01 5spd, pulls great but is a gas hog for sure, loaded or unloaded. I think he gets around 10-12 with 5k load behind it about 14 the rest of the time. He said pretty much the same all things considered. For sure the most powerful gas motor I've road in. It's rated at 300hp 450tq.
Would be crazy with a supercharger, like the one Vortec makes for it...

Guy in our club had one, single digits towing anything.

They pull hard but are fairly slow. DRINKS gas like everyone else said (6-7 mpg towing). They are tough trucks though and will pull some heavy loads.
