Why is it that people not just on here but everywhere post cars for sale that "supposively" just need a cheap part to make it run or driveable? If it were true you would just go buy that cheap part and sell the vehicle for more!!! :flipoff2:

I always wondered the same thing. Or why not just buy the part and keep the car...it's paid for, why not?

I also always wondered why it's so hard for people to realize the word is 'supposedly' and not 'supposively' or 'supposably'

I've never understood why people post stuff for sale like that either. I mean you wouldn't sell your car/truck because it's out of gas or the head light is out.

It really gets me also when people post an incomplete buggy saying it doesn't need much to complete then they have a list like:

Needs radiator, front axle, wiring, seats, some tube work, air shocks, ram for steering and the wheels and tires in picture do not come with it.

As far as words that do not exist. My two favorites are when people say irregardless or preventative maintenance.

I wonder why people try to "sale" something rather than try to "sell" something.

I always love the "just needs a transmission" or "just needs an engine" ads.

Great, so easy to get a nice ride, I JUST need to replace one of the most vital and expensive pieces on the vehicle! YAY!

(on the flip side, I did buy a car that the ad said this, but I already had a transmission and spent a few hours and $100 and sold the car for over $1000 profit in two days)

I wonder why no one ever posts "subtracts", but we see people posting "adds" every so often.

and back on track, maybe the $5 part requires a $100 tool and 40 hrs labor, or some skills above the average shadetreee mechanic. But I wonder the same as the OP.
