So I am looking for a Vortec V6 to put in my Willys and I have found one on craigslist with low miles for $100, but the guy says that water is mixing with the oil. No other information. Any ideas on what might be causing this? and would it be worth it to buy and fix it.

head gaskets.....cracked head...cracked block maybe....

yea...I will take it also if you don't get it.

Intake gasket most likely

The intake gaskets are notorious for failing on the vortec motors 4.3, 5.0, and 5.7. The factory ones are plastic with embedded rubber sealing surfaces. The new fel-pro replacements are aluminum and rubber and are much better.

Intake gaskets are my first guess cause ive replaced a bunch of those at work, but the above mentioned cracked heads/block, or blown head gaskets are also possible.

Damn I didn't think about that gettin water in the oil......I think everybody I know with an LT1 or vortec 4.3 has had to have that done.

x3. this is a lot more common problem with these than head gaskets/cracked heads.
