So I have wheeled on the same set of 42/15x16.5 SXII's since '09. Today I discovered one of the side wall cuts has finally started to leak air. The $10K I just dropped on office/shop repairs means going to a sticky and 17" rims just isn't in the cards right now. I'm about 2 hours from Greenville area and about 2 hours from Charlotte area. Is it possible for them to repair this tire and keep on rocking or should it be repaired and used as a spare? Thoughts from the more experienced NC4x4 crowd please.

I'd look for some cold vulcanizing compound, Busted Knuckle used to carry it but website says they are looking for a nee vendor.

So apparently I’m an idiot maybe. One of my twins, the one studying machine tooling and CNC programing, said hey dad that’s a stick in there maybe it’s that.

You tried some soap water yet? I agree that gash doesn't look like it would be leaking. On an sx at least.

We broke the H1 down and took them for a pressure wash. I put it all back together today and put 15 lbs in them. Will see if they leak down by tomorrow. The inside looked fine to me. Here's hoping it was just that.
