i have encountered someone who wants to do some (what seems to be) pretty good bartering maybe...has 2 wagoneers as whole/parts type jeeps with the diffs in them so if i did decide to take his offer on these 2 for some work, what is average descent going price for front 44 and rear 44 with say....3:05 or the better 3:55 or 3:73 (don't know yet but just wondering) before i make a decision on doing the trade/work. thanks

Depends on if they are passenger or driver drop in the front. I think they are all narrow width? But depending on year the driver or passenger drop changed? .... But I would be interested in a drivers drop narrow one if you deside to trade lol

dam...didn't know any of that info. i will try to get some more accurate specs on them to post here and go from there. thanks bud!

dude i just learned the 93up isuzu have disk brake D44???what??? my dealer friend i work for has a 98 for scrap sitting there for months now....i'm gonna check and confirm this tomorrow and if so, looks like a seller!!

will keep updated. hopefully at least one is non disco. thanks bud. enjoy the weekend!!

I had a waggy 44 in the front of my ZJ, I liked it, but it takes some fab to get it under a linked suspension. As for thew waggy 44 rear, I have not heard many good things about them, not saying they are bad, but the consensus is that a 8.8 is a better swap.

CAD, gear ratio, auto hubs are all things to find out about them. Many of the FSJ axles were 2.73/3.08 ratio, which brings less $$. Auto hubs can be fixed too, but CAD makes them about useless.

i will update when i go see him next week to thoroughly check them out and their options. today he says he has 3 J10 pickups laying around also which from what i hear are real real good drivetrain..all 3 4x4 so looking good for some kind of possibilities here. adios. will update when i get info. gracias.

About that rear axle. From what I read and what I have pulled out of trucks in the past, you want it from a 6 cyl. 4 cyl 2wd had a GM 7.3 (I think) with drum brakes. 6 cyl 4x4 has the Dana 44 with disc and either 4.10 or 4.30 thick gears. Also those Dana axles have drum brakes for the E-brake. Pretty fancy. And as a bonus the 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern. Matches great with the waggy. Just make all the lugnut studs match with the same thread pitch and yer golden... And a gear swap!

The years you want is from a 93-97

good to know. it's a v6 4x4 auto and for sure D44 with the disk brakes but he's not sure what he's doing with it yet but soon as he decides to bring it over to strip, will post up on here. thanks for the info on it.
