Help a new person to the RC world.
Help a new person to the RC world.
I just bought a Wraith and am a total noob to the RC world. I love it. I wanted something that looked somewhat realistic but had some crawling capability too. Its not the best crawler and not the fastest but a good hybrid in my opinion and it was RTR which was a big plus.
What should i look for and buy?
Oh man I just started getting in to the RC world about three weeks ago I already have three RC's I got a E firestorm off my buddy, then I get a Traxx Stampede, and today while putting in a brushless motor in my stampede I got a Venom creeper Safari. RC is so addicting!
hscrugsby is right (btw I didn't find any extra drive shafts short of stampede ones). What do you want to do?
rccrawler.com is the place to check out builds etc. as well as the local ncrccrawlers.com. Head out to a comp and chat with the guys-great group and lots of information.
Yea. There is an almost rtr wraith on rc crawler.com classifieds right now up in hampton roads. They look and sound like fun
Would you suggest the wraith at all i would really need a rtr
Im looking more for the best deal dont really care about looks more function over form and strong the less i break the happier ill be.
you will need batteries for the wraith but i dont suggest the wraith bt if you do get it then you will have to get a 35T motor or higher because the 20T is under/over powered its a weird story but its true
x2So all the other RC cars don't need batteries?
I have a Wraith, I run a 2S lipo with the stock 20 turn motor and just changed the gears to 14-87 because the factory are to high to crawl. It crawls great and has plenty of wheel spin due to the lipo battery. I haven't broke a single drive train part. The thing works great right out of the box with just the gear mod. I'm not saying it's perfect but it is a great mix of both crawler and basher that also makes a great scaler.
Aftermarket part selection is awesome. I have added alluminum c-hubs and knuckles from Hot Racing. I built my own lower links from threaded rod and aluminum tubing.
Why buy a mini and then the Axial? Why not just buy the Axial?
