Warn winch repair

I recently bought a used M-8000 warn winch. I think the motor is burnt up. Does anyone know where I can get the motor rebuilt locally? I'm in Raleigh.

I don't know the details, but I think you can get a motor from a bigger/faster Warn winch and bolt it right in. Maybe someone else will know, might as well upgrade!

Don't mess with the rebuild. It will usually cost more then just grabbing a new motor.

I picked up the parts for my m8000 from him too. Warn has there parts diagrams online so you can take yours apart and follow the part #'s to order, and reassemble.

I emailed them on Friday and haven't heard back. Hopefully, they can get a new motor. I probably need the whole assembly, because the previous owner fried it! Even the insulation on the wires are burnt off!
