What is the shortest wheelbase anyone has seen make it? without a strap or cable. just stupid pedal and driving skills.

I have seen plenty of stock WB wranglers do it, but even then there was lots of wheels up action. I'm sure shorter stuff has found the right line. Seems like i have seen a video of a sammy going up it??

i saw a tj on 33's barely spin making it up. most of us need a little more throttle.

The $30XJ from 2008 URE cross made it up. What is the wb on a stock XJ?

saw a stock CJ5 make it....on like 32's

CJ5 wb = 83"?

That might be the winner. Dang, the only thing shorter would be a Samurai at 80". Anybody seen a stock WB Samurai make it up? I would like to give it a shot in my Sami next time I go up there. Mine is stretched to 82" though.

I was 84" & couldn't make it. Can't wait to try it again now that I'm 95"

I am pretty sure it is 113". I am thinking about shortening it to the length of a stock cherokee, I liked the wheelbase on my XJ a lot better. I do know my WB makes that waterfall a breeze, though.

Edit: probably will end up shortening it to somewhere in between, maybe 107ish.

I tried it in a CJ-5 at 87" and 35" x-terrains...failed.
Stretched it to 91, same tires...failed.
Now i got the same 91" wb, added a 1" body lift, dropped the suspension 2", and got 38" TSL's...itching to try it again.

I'm at 108, and did it with a leaf sprung YJ. At that time I was on 44's, but now I'm on 42's. The 42's hook up better than the 44's, so i think i'll be allright again.

However, 108 feels wrong on "easy out" It takes some serious rock humping for me to get up that ledge. I think its jeepnjason IIRC, that has a CJ5 on 38's, he can make it up the waterfall, with a little bit of pucker factor, but he can walk the ledge at easy out.

I've tried on 32" swampers, and 3.5" lift, made it one time out of like 5. I am now at 5.5" lift and 35 MTR's. first attempt was a fail. oh, I've also got dana 300 4.0:1 installed all the times I've tried. Stock wheel base YJ suffer and need lots of skinny pedal, most TJ's can make it up with considerably less throttle.

I haven't been there in a while, and I am just about itching to go again. I hear its changed.

A lot of it certainly depends on when you try it as well.

what about the bigger waterfall. I was thinking most of you guys were talking about the smaller one. I had to watch gubni's vid to verify. I have only been 2 times, but have not made the bigger one.

Anything 105-107 & up should be a cakewalk and not worth mentioning. Anything less is all about comitment or lack there of :driver:!
