Whole front end and the clutch or auto trans ,you choose your poison at dealership when it comes to dodge trans is the weak link

My suggestion visit a Ford dealership near you

If you go to the ford dealership, buy Two. One for you and one for the shop. That way you always have one to drive.

I for got the whole reason for my original post. It was for more than to just harass you.
Just a funny story figured is share I've got a rear shaft and ill tell u why
I've got a buddy (who's not very mechanically minded) who hears noise is his dodge drive train takes it to dealership and says think I have a bad u joint in rear drive shaft. They fix it for him and when he comes to pick it up he has a 500 dollar bill. And starts asking questions they replace the entire shafts yokes and all "because you can't buy just a u joint its all one piece" and he believed them paid and went on his way but brought old shaft and stuff to me asked if I could use it

Thats not 100% false. If you hit the parts department at a lot of different manufacturers, they can not order drive shaft parts. I have run into this many times. Its just the way there set up. The only way they can get it is as an assembly. I had that problem on my 240sx I used to have.

Pulling/Rock climbing/Shockloading much?

Dont forget what transmission the big boys are running at the drag strip (not the lenco's hahahaha)

Even if that's so if you took your truck in for a clutch and they said it all comes as 1 and parked a brand new 1 in its place and hit you with the bill it doesn't mean its right a dealer could went up to napa and bought the part just the same as anyone else pressed it in for him and charged him labor plus part. I guess its just question on how bad they want return customers

if you were in winston, id say look up olivers driveshaft. theyre pretty reasonable

Hooked back to back on dirt with 38.5's trying to rock the truck behind to make him break traction . . . pretty much doing what shouldn't have been doing in the first place :shaking:

Oh yea, Olviers is very good, I'm down in Mooresville thou, and My Bud Josh over at Universal Automotive is right down the road and had what I needed :driver:

On a test, I've never circled the wrong answer, I always circled the right choice. BTW...look up dodge in the dictionary and it says 'to avoid'. Chrysler tried to give you fair warning, any problems you have are on you:rolleyes:

i have a motto:

"No Dodges in my garages"

But realistically you can nit pick any of the trucks and find something wrong with them.

I'm pretty sure the weak link in Rickys truck, is the one behind the wheel. Never known of anyone else to break so much stuff on their daily driver rides :flipoff2:

I would say that if you are hooking up a truck to another truck it probably is not stock. That being said the weak link is not considered a screw up from the factory. I would say they hadn't planned on that.

I'm pretty sure dealers dont go to napa for their parts

Sure do, I used to work at NAPA in Statesville and we delivered to Bell and Howard Chevy, Black Pontiac, Jeff Hall Dodge, the Nissan place, and Toyota west on a regular basis. Usually more than once a day to each actually. I was kinda surprised to learn that when I started working there.

I worked at CarQuest for 3 years and we delivered part to the local Ford Dealership aswell. It is surpising how many parts they do get from the local parts house.
