Yeah thays why I moved south. I do enjoy the snow but green grass and sun for most of the winter just seems better to me.
A few weeks before I moved it never got above 32° for 8 days straight in OH. That first January I was washing my truck in shorts and a T-shirt. Thats when I knew I made a good move.
 
Can you imagine what it would be like before weather forecast like in the 1800s. Waking up and not know WTF to wear. If you were going anywhere you'd have to bring warm clothes even if it was 70 in the morning.
 
Yesterday was a scorcher. Today looks to be really nice!

we don't 'have' to fight traffic. We choose to do it. 'We' voted import millions of people, we allow sucky drivers to continue driving, we have fostered/encouraged a society that has no shame, fears no repercussions, thrives on ignorance, and rewards dumbness and ass-hat behavior.

we get what we allow.

They closed Wake County schools on Monday because it was supposed to be windy.

The weather man was wrong... Or suboptimally incentivized.
 
They closed the schools here on Monday too. About 10:30am, there was a Tornado Warning, and my work sent out emergency emails/texts for everyone to move to bathrooms, stairwells, interior rooms etc. We all moved and sat there for about 30 minutes until they said the threat had passed. I guess a Tornado was spotted in the area. That is the first time that has happened in my 24 yrs of working here.
