You can send it off and have it wet tested and tuned. I used ACE in Utah for my Webers. DON'T take it to Transporter Werks! They claim to know webers, but after a $500 bill and still not running, I learn't a valuable lesson. I searched for a long time in Triangle and gave up. Then I sent mine to ACE - Air Cooled Engineering and they cleaned and rebuilt the carbs, re-jetted for my motor and wet tested and tuned. I got the choke eliminator kits and one of them converted with a reverse linkage kit for the dual carb setup. Cost me $400 for shipping and all.
They recommend starting the motor with no linkage. That way you know if your motor is working properly. I didn't even have to adjust the idle. Driving it today on it's maiden voyage to work. It's a Baja VW with 1915 cc. Transporter Werks can kiss my A$$.
