Weigh Stations, Greensboro to Boone?

Any weigh stations to worry about on the route out 40W from Greensboro, then 421 to Boone? If there is one, I need to avoid.

Been a while since I've been up that way and I can't remember.

There aren't any on the bypass section of I-40 either... don't recall if there are any on 421, but if your in a NON-commercial rig (=private), your not required to stop anyway...

i drive there all the time from cary and i don't think there are any on the way maybe one but no more than one

You may get it anyway. There is a DMV partol (looks just like a State Trooper) that rolls along 421 between W-S and I-77. I've seen him almost everytime I go to Boone. He'll roll up next to me and run my tag...

There were 5 of us caravaning up to Callalantee one time, he pulled up next to the last in line and punched in their tag...moved to the next and punched in theirs...so on and so forth all the way to the front. I guess we all checked out cuz he went on ahead like he was going to a fire...Saw him right near I77 with a log truck and his scales out.

What are you hauling? reason to avoid? They are actually a lot worse between wilkesboro and boone. If it looks heavy, looks unsafe or has any visual "no no's" then plan to get pulled.

Nothing bad....

Farm tags with obvious non-ag load....and out of range.
