Welding question about H1's

I got some rock rings and am gonna weld them in on my H1's.
I hate to take apart wheels so I guess you know what question is coming next.
I am thinkin about trying to weld them into the wheels with the tires still mounted. I know I can melt the rubber a little bit but if I move around and keep it cool with water is it possible and what do ya'll think.

Duct tape around the tire bead, then towels or a welding blanket. Then really short welds switching between different spots on different wheels. At least that's how I would do it.

This is why I sold the rings, I didn't want to do it either. But, these are bias tsl's...I can see a hot spot where welded melting the sidewall/bead or a bigassed piece of spatter doing damage, but just the electrode touching the tire and putting a hole in it? Pretty unlikely.

3000 tac welds over a period of 6 months....should be fine

That's what I'd do.

this may show my dumdsaaness but would the heat build a lot of pressure inside the tire,don't know but one of them things that make me say hhmmm.
