First off...I'm not asking for a handout here... I am looking for someone who knows how to regear a jeep tj. I know this is a highly valuable skill and I would be willing to pay for some hands on experience... I plan on regearing my tj to 4.10s...I have all the parts on order but I don't know anyone around here. I live near Hickory and I would really be thankful if anyone has spare time and the patience to show me. Like I said I'm not asking for a handout...I will pay for the help and knowledge... If you can help..PM me.

I know it would be easier to find a shop that knows how to do it and just pay them...but I want to learn how or atleast be a part of the job.
thanks!

We'll do it here at U Joint Offroad in Asheville for ya for $500 out the door. That includes labor, shop supplies, etc. Drop it off and pick it back up the next day, maybe same day.
We do not allow customers to participate in repairs and upgrades in case of an injury or accident. I'm sure you understand.
Sorry, but tutorials don't pay our shop bills.

Is that for both axles? So all he would have to do is bring you is the gears and master install kits?

If so all have to keep you guys in mind when I regear.

Yep, thats our rate. All day, everyday.
Let me know if ya need more info.

Typical late model (pre-JK) regear will be $1000-$1100 out the door, done.
