What’s eating this coil/ plug

2000 4.7 V8 tundra dude says it feels like it drops a cylinder under load but seems to idle fine. Question is:
1.) replace parts and roll out

Or

2.) dig deeper cause something fucky is causing it

That looks like severe spark erosion from the plug being loose probably, combined with some combustion leakage. The leakage is what melted the coil pack probably.
I don't want to know what the head looks like.

This is kind of what I’m thinking was the culprit. It’s not in front of me. A friend of mine is working on it over in Tx. I said I would reach out to the encyclopedia (NC4x4) for recommendations.
 
It's interesting that the electrode and ground strap aren't melted and don't really look that bad for color, etc. That means it's likely not a overly lean condition. I could see the spark not igniting properly under load when the combustion pressure rises, but it doesn't look overly fouled with fuel either.

Insulator failure and burn out?
