What are the chances? *2 broke cars*

Both mine and my gf cars wont start. On Sunday I go out to my car (land rover disco 00) Go to start it, click click click... ok try again, starts to turn over alarm goes off? turn off alarm. Try one more time, starts. Cut to today, Dose it all over again minus the starting. figuring its the battery I got a new one, pop it in still nothing. No turning over just that damned click. Now tonight after driving around in my gf's car (98 sentra) Go to start it, nothing at all not even a click. I try to jump it using my roommates car and nothing. what is wrong with these cars?!?! Starters? alternators?

Clean the battery terminals. My ZJ acted very screwy when they were dirty.

not even a click on the sentra? Is is Automatic? Neutral safety switch??? slam it in ans out of park and pop it back into park pretty hard.

If not even a click, could alo be the ignition switch (e.g. signal not making it to the solenoid)

Less than a year ago I had my dd truck (Samurai) and my wife's van both towed home at the same time. Sami on the rollback ... van on the wheel lift.

She hit something in the road and knicked a hole in the oilpan in the van ... then the Sami just died on her while she was taking the police to look for the debris. ( bad disty ).

I feel your pain.

Pull and clean both ends of the battery cables, pos and neg. If they are straight drive ... maybe check the clutch disconnect switch.

I would clean the battery terminals and coat them in dielectric grease to help prohibit the corrosion. If it starts up when you jump it off, i would go get the battery checked.
