I am looking at a truck on the internet and trying to decide if I should bid on it or not. It is a 1989 Ext. Cab Long Bed 4x4 F250 w/ the non turbo 7.3L. It is on an auction site so they aren't willing to go look at the front end to see exactly what it is. I have asked a few people and they all say it is the Dana 50. But all the pictures that I have been able to find over the net seem to be dana 60. Does anyone know for sure or is a swing year that they might have used both? Did the Dana 50 have real long hubs on it? The auction starts tomm so some help fast would be great!

I don't know for sure about an 89, but my guess would be dana 50 ttb up front, and a sterling 10 3/4 ff rear.

Don't think they had any D60's up front on this 3/4 ton truck.

That is what most my ford buddies tell me. I am a chevrolet man so I have no clue. But like I said the few pictures I can find all seem to be straight axle trucks. I guess people are takeing the pictures to show off the straight axle and not the ttb.

Unless it has been changed, it should be a dana 50 TTB.
