What battery fits in optima box

Seems like the ol trusty blue top has kicked the bucket. It's from 2012 so I can't complain much. I don't want to go back with an optima because of quality control issues. I have it mounted in a steel battery box much like the old one from barns4x4. My main question is what battery fits in an optima battery box? Looks like I may struggle finding something. I may be buying a box and a battery.

I'm in the same boat. Next go 'round, I'm shit canning these red tops. They got weak at around 2 years old. 2000 cranking amps through 00 battery, ground, AND starter cables should make the starter jump oit of the truck...such is not the case.

Doesn't it say on the battery what group size it is? If it's a blue top, probably Group 34?

If you measure the box, you can figure out what will fit in it from a sales sheet or whatever with dimensions on it, for example something like this:

I believe you'll find the answer is NONE...
My battery cradle was made years ago to fit an Optima... and EVERY AGM made today was 1/4" longer!

Last year, future proofed it by adding 1/2" and shimming the new "DieHard" (it will) AGM with rubber matting

I'm babying my current yellow top that's in the buggy.
Has a 05 build date on it, has sat for looooong periods at a time with 0 maintenance and still kicks ass.

I dread the day I'll have to replace it.
