Anybody know what causes the ESP/BAS (electronic stability program/brake assist system) light to come on on a Jeep JK or how to fix this problem ? Maybe front end alignment ? Its got a lil pull to the left to it

Alignment definately causes this and is made much worse with lift and larger tires. What year is it? Either way, it is fairly easy to do away with if you want to.

yea just read on jkowners that the steering wheel not being centered is the cause and it not its turned a lil to the right. its a 2008. what is the easy way to do away with it ?

When I lifted my 09 JK, I put the front axle on stands, centered the wheel and worked the drag link to point the tires straight. It still runs off about 5 degrees because i didnt recenter the axle with the panhard bar. JKO does have a few great write ups on this. Also if you went to 35" tires, set the toe to 1/8" in, any more and it will be twitchy, less and it will wander really bad.

Good Luck.

Chrysler does offer a flash to disable the system on the JK's call your dealer and see if tsb # 05-001-08 will work on it. With this flash u can turn on and off the system.
