got a few more thing to do to it and itll be done bent all the tube with the help of a buddy (MIKE BURRELL aka. burrellsjeep) and welded it myself pretty pleased with the way it turned out
happy now

I like it.....:bounce2:

1- what material, hrew?
2- Because someone i going to say it and others are thinking it, needs more triangulation.
3- From what we can see, looks good, but I would say the one weak point is using the thin factory hoop, if you roll I would expect the add on bars and welds to rip from the factory hoop.

do you have any records of the factory hoop failing if so please let me see

Ron,

Kyle's jeep is like mine, Its a weekend wheeler and mostly a DD. He likes the look of the added "sport cage" so thats what we built. Had we wanted to build a full protective cage it would have been completely different, we would have used DOM and started from scratch. But that being said, His cage is not design to stand up to multiple roll overs nor is mine. But your are correct in you critics of the cage. But hey you gotta start some where.

Edit:

Looking at the pics of the one on pirate, I would say the stock cage with no added support handled a roll well. Like I said it could have been done much better but we knew that before hand and bare with Kyle hes still learning.

It LOOKS Good!
