putting a 4.3 in my buggy. throttle body i want a pump to mount on the rail ...so any sugestion on how to do it in a reasonable manner ...will i need to run a regulator

I ran the e2000 on the vortec 4.3 I used to have, but the TBI doesn't need as high a pressure. A regulator may allow the e2000 to work.

e2000 is not an in-tank pump. I think I was getting 55-60psi. I had it mounted to the frame on a YJ I had.

I'm running a holly on my 4.3 TBI got it from summit. I'll look tomorrow & let you know.

Think it was about $130

I use Holley Projection on my junk. e2000 should work,BUT Holley part#512-104 has served me well.

muchj fuel pressure dose a tbi 4.3 have to have?

9-15 psi IIRC

I didn't get a chance to crawl under the jeep today. I'll be getting it ready for the flats tomorrow so I'll look

e2000

I just swapped a gm 350 tbi set up onto the 351m in my old 78 f150. I used a 88 bronco frame mounted pump (I think thats the e2000) on my frame. It can put out about 65-70psi max, but the tbi unit has a built in regulator that cuts it to the 13-15psi it needs. If you run a high pressure pump like that then your return should be as big as the feed line, mine are both 3/8".

If you do run a frame mounted pump you may need either baffles in your tank or a dual pump/surge tank set up. I set up a dual pump/surge set up cause mine was cutting out when cornering/flexing off road with less than 1/4 tank. The surge tank is basically a 1/2 gallon fuel tank that is fed by a low pressure/high volume pump. It then feeds the high pressure pump. You can Google surge tank or search on pirate for more info.

Ive used the holley blue pump on a friends cherokee with a tbi 4.3 (had a 2.8), but it was just laying around so we didnt have to buy it. The 88 fullsize bronco pump (frame mounted) is only $90 at advance auto and can put out enough psi that later if you swap the tbi for an lt or ls engine (multiport) then you'll have enough fuel and wont have to change the pump again.

With either of those pumps you still MAY need baffles or a surge tank setup if it cuts out when going around corners or flexing
