Ok So I was walking out my house Monday morning when BAM! Big @ss scary African beetle looking thing! Anyone ever seen one of these? the Sucker was huge like a small dog (overexaduration) but it was barking at me. Anyone know exactly what this bug is called besides a big @ss pinching beetle??

yea an earwig on steriods! well i hope i dont see anymore of those. 28 years in the south and i have never seen one before. although i might catch two males and take bets on whose gonna win.

Stag Beetle? Yeah. The thing is as big as a horse.
If my ever saw one of those she'd have us moving back to Massachusetts the next day. I'll have to tell her it is a weird bread of mouse from Three Mile Island.

We have Stags around here also. Once in a while I will find them carrying a leaf.

I think that one was from Costa Rica. I found the pic online. I've seen some nearly that big locally, though. They're fun to play with. Scare your little sister. Or Danny, for that matter!
