Some military m-series vehicles run 24v, my M416 trailer for example. The plugs look like below, link to one source - Military 14 Gauge Male/Female Electrical Connector Kit Packard M35A2 M818 M151

You guys are going make me spill the beans......... ya....not yet... ;)
I have those, they pretty neat... The awesome for the stuff that have to run 12v.
AND yes 24v (or higher) is the way to go.... Of course what do i know :)
I have a 12/24 cheep-ish frig.(120v w/ step down)
It be nice to have it run 24v, instead of going to 12v
I think ill use the SAE el-cheep-o things..... I just didnt what anything that remotely mimics 12v.

A lot of boats are 24vdc by default. I hunted around briefly for some sort of standard connector, but only found trolling motor connectors and the Anderson connectors. It might be worth a deeper dive, though.

A standard won't be set by the voltage, but by what it is used for.
Cars have tons of different connectors that are all 12v.

I work with a lot of 24V stuff daily and it all depends on the application. Anything under 50V DC is considered low voltage. If it's automotive you can do anything you would do for a 12V system.

Deutsch DT/DTM/DTP. That's what a lot of commercial trucks, off-highway, boats, and industrial stuff use for 12V and 24V systems and communications.
