Pressure sensor, if that piece of tubing was attached to it. Can't have a temp sensor at the end of a static tube.

I would bet it's the low oil shut down sensor.

It’s an automatic oiler. It squirts astroglide into the hole when things get dry.

That piece of tubing isn't supposed to be on there. It's the anti-backfire solenoid that is supposed to be on the bottom of the fuel bowl.
