What Jeep to buy for my wife????

We are looking for a fairly stock Wrangler for my wife. She wants it mostly for beach cruising, but would like to follow my truck on light trails too. I've already decided on the 4.0, AT or MT don't matter. What year after 95 are best or worst?

well...the '95 was the last year of the YJ...and there's no "official" '96 Wrangler...

so the '97+ TJ is where you're looking...

not to many issues between years...and not too many changes until '03...

interested in a real clean '99 w/ ~60K...Sahara Edition...auto...4.0L...hard/soft tops...2" budget boost and 32x11.50's?

we're gonna sell the wife's TJ pretty soon...a two-TJ family doesn't work real well with a baby on the way...

Finally got past that point of kids and vehicles. Wifes minivan, and my Sonoma (the economy truck) and Jimmy F/S are starting to get old. I was happy when she said she wanted her own to follow me around, the Jimmy has one creature comfort, and that's the driver's seat.
 
If I'm not mistaken they improved/changed the intake manifold, exhaust manifold and radiator in the 2000 and up models on the 4.0 engine.
