I was talking to a member of our group last night about different lift kits out there for TJ/LJ's and there are so many I thought I'd post up to see what you guys are running and what you like or don't like about you lift.

I'll start off:

I have a RockKrawler (GenII) 7" LA.
Likes:
It will fit 37's, solid stock control arms, but very heavy
Dislikes:
It has never performed as expected, poor anti-squat, joint shanks bend too easily, springs way too soft i.e. lots of body roll, required lots of additional work/parts to make it stable.

I have a total mutant package on mine :D

Front:
  • Fox 2.0 12" Coilovers
  • Rubicon Express Upper Adjustable Short Arms
  • Rokmen Lower Adjustable Short Arms
  • Currie Anti-Rock
  • Rubicon Express Adjustable Trackbar

Rear:
  • Rubicon Express 3.5" Springs
  • Clayton 7" Long Arm 4 Link Stretch
  • BDS Monotube 12" shocks
  • *No Trackbar or Swaybar in the rear

I sit at roughly 3.5" with 37" tires. My lift is always evolving, but it seems to work very well for me so far. I'm trying to taylor it to handle speed as well as it does rocks, so it is still a work in progress.

Also, it handles the 37"s up to 70mph without any vibrations.

i have a skyjacker 4 inch short arm on my tj,

Pros: I can sweeze 35s on my baby
hasnt sagged much in the 8 years the lift has been on there!
performs pretty much as good as a short arm can perform
Cons: I still have factory upper control arms in the front
didnt come with a steering stabilizer

Im happy with it over all, but i cant wait to get my 4.5 inch long arms!

I ran a rubincon express 4.5" super flex kit for quite a while. Kit was very complete and exceded my expectations for a short arm kit. I still have the front for a little while longer, but last year finally had a triangulated 4 link built for the rear. Night and day difference.

I have a Rough Country 4" X-Flex short arm on my 2000 TJ. Gives me plenty of room for 35x12.5

Pro's
1. Simple to install
2. Comes with all new fully adjustable Johnny Joint upper and lower front and rear controls arms.
3. Comes with the front adjustable track bar.
4. Basically it is complete package I did not have to buy one thing extra to install it(the extended brakes lines are even included)
5. Bumps stops are built into the shocks

Con's
1. Don't really have any right now it has only been install for about a month and I haven't done any offroad adventures yet.
2. Well maybe there is one. The ride quality is good, but seems a little stiffer with the 2.2 shocks comapred to the 9000 that was included with this lift previously.(I had the old version of this lift in my 97 TJ)

I have a RE 2"BB and can run 37's!!!

Forgot to mention the homebrew hiline fenders...

Here is a pic on 35's!

4 inch Rough Country springs. Rubicon Express radius arm 3 link front. Rubicon Express Tri-Link Rear. Ive got 37 Krawlers on it. I would like to have some shorter coils though.

Mine is mostly home made. The coils are 4" skyjacker, I think. The front trackbar is RE as are the rear upper links. The rest of the links are garage booty fabbed with DOM, poly joints, and Johnny's.

I'm running Rokmen control arms with 2.5" OME ZJ/LJ spring combo, Fox shocks, and 1" body lift with 37s. Lots of trimming metal required and Rokmen hi fenders. Love it, low center of gravity is the way to go.
