I am rebuilding my buggy from the ground up. I'm starting with the trans. I pulled it apart and everything is ok other than some bushings. Took the torque converter to be rebuilt and was told it's trash. Never had any problems other than noisy when coasting downhill with engine compression holding it back.

I need some help figuring out what stall speed torque converter to get. I want something heavy duty.

My motor is built with 11:1 compression and propane. I don't know the HP, but it's more than most. My buggy is light weight. I've been told I have a high stall. I think maybe 2500. It has worked very well for me. Now that I have a 4:1 and 11:1 t-case option with the klune-v maybe I should change it? Maybe I should keep the same? I'm thinking either 2000 or 2500. I know some of you guys know a lot more about what I should get than I'd ever know. I'm asking your advise. Here's two I've been told are among the best.

Call Dave Swimm at ACC. I worked for him doing r&r for a while and they are the best trans and converter shop in the business. He is the type of guy that will talk to you for a while to explain what you need and how it works. He even lets customers come in and cut apart their own converters so he can show them what is inside and what they will do with it. Top notch bunch of guys there. Oh, he doesnt except CC, only UPS cod.
