Was any one else expecting a stimulus check on the 9th? Did the program get delayed or were they jsut pulling our legs?
 
Just got something in the mail today saying "if not recieved in Xmany wks to contact..." Delayed maybe??
 
I think they're still doing the direct deposit ones now, (friend just got his direct deposit today) then it goes by last 2 digits of your SSN, starting in a week or two...I'm in the 1x group, and I'm pretty sure mine won't go out for another week and a half...I know it's on the irs.gov site, but I'm too lazy to search the specifics...

I was supposed to receive mine on the 9th as well, good to know it wasn't just me missing my check. My sister was supposed to receive hers the same day, and she got hers on the 5th??
 
Seeing as how my last two are 97... I will be at the very bottom of the list to receive anything... if I even do. I hear about people getting them, but until it is in my hand, I am not counting on anything from our government... except a hard time.
 
To get the money on the 9th you must have been using direct deposit! (I did get mine by the way, I did electronic filing too)
 
yea, e filed a DD'd mine. i know my bank can be slow to adjust my balance when a deposit is made, but they usually atleast show that it was made!
 
Got mine. It was in my bank on the 6th through DDeposit. The money went quick!
 
Yea, it's done by the last 2 #'s of your social. started with the people who direct deposited their tax refund, then, later they will mail the checks to those who did not have theirs direct deposited.
 
I was supposed to get mine on the 9th as well. I e-filed, and had it direct deposited. I know a bunch of people that were supposed to get theirs also, but didn't. At the same time, it seems that others are getting theirs. Just my luck I guess.
 
One Caveat, if you use Turbo Tax or HR Block etc. and had the fee deducted from your return or did the rapid cash deal, you will be getting a paper check.

The IRS site now has a deal where you input your social and exemptions and it will tell you the date it will be deposited....

well if you do the rapid refund or refund anticipation loan, the tax prep company pays you and the fed deposited your money in the tax prep companies account.

Its actually a pretty good catch, it would have probably taken a while to get a refund from a 3rd part, and Im not even going to touch the ROR on the service
 
nah..i did turbo tax direct deposit BUT i had them take their money outta my refund.....stupid stupid stupid! wish i had known that before hand!

i mean....not getting the check isnt going to hurt me...its just that i got all excited about spending it....now i gotta wait again.


Thats like telling a little kid....christmas was moved to january!

Se, now I filed with HR's TaxCut, but had to pay - but had them direct withdrawal from my account.
I did NOT have to pay the filing fees 'cause I used the pre-paid filing version (comes with "free" filing) so I'd think that shouldn't matter...
But anyway, I'm '08 so should have been the 1st batch... but yesterdat received a leter saying "May 16th but don't call us unless not received by June something".
grrrrr
 
Last two 69 - Filed Electronic with H&R Block. Supposed to get it on the 9'th. Notta! IRS.GOV is unable to tell me as well with some kind of error message.

Still waiting...
