short story: what uses 3" wide leaf springs? Or should I switch to 2.5" springs?

long story: I picked up an 82 K20 with a 6BT and a "modified" frame-didnt see the frame until the utility bed came off. The leaf spring set up that's cobbled together on there is an abortion and a major saftey concern. The spring hangers that are on there barely fit the frame rails so it's obvious they aren't anything stock and they're fairly large which makes me think they came off of a medium duty truck. I have a very limited amount of time to fix this, box the frame, and build a new bed so I'm looking for either: light duty trucks that use 3" wide springs so I can borrow them without the intent to return or some insight to either keep the 3" wide springs or look for some hangers off of a K30.

Most Fords use 3"

Most Fords use 3"

correction most 4x4 fords use 3" wide leaf with 3.5" wide bushings.

the 2wd a lot used 2.5" wide leafs with 3" wide bushings.

bring on the pic's!!

Awesome, so it looks like the back 1/3 of the frame is a spliced in ford, which a dually 14 bolt, with a cummins engine. . . things are getting interesting. ..

Jeff-I'll get pics once I figure out why my computer won't let anyone host them. . .

So I'm looking for an F-350 spring setup then huh?

I wanted to see the cobbled up safety concern. I may have something of value to add.

Working on the pictures, should get them up tonight. Not sure why, but my computer won't let any website host anything off of my computer.

Ford springs won't work with these hangers, the springs in there now are 3" wide and the inside hanger width is 3 1/4". The front spring hanger uses a pinch bolt to hold the front spring pin in place-never seen that on a light duty pick up.
