I have a 79 Bronco with a 4" lift and 36 12.50 16.5 goodyears off the H1s but dont think they do to well off road. Just wanted to see if anyone has had the goodyears and had the same complaint. Also what size would you recomend I want to go bigger and have been told that I can clear a 38. Just not to sure what to run stay with the goodyears that are cheep 400 a set new or go to 38s 1200 a set new and if it will be that much a different to justify the price difference.

the only thing i see wrong here is them goodyears ur running i never ran any but a few of my buddys have i also have a 79 bronco with a 460 and stock gears all i run is 35x12.50r15 bfg m/t's on a 8 inch wheel and they are awsome i also have a 4 inch lift and dont beleive a 38 will clear without some fender trimming i wouln say go with the 12.50's on a 8 inch wheel and u wont have any problems

You don't have to buy new tires, check the for sale section. I would suggest something 36" or smaller, otherwise your axles and gearing aren't going to like you...girls don't know the difference.
I have only ever heard bad things about GY rt/II's. Other than that they're super cheap.

I have 4.56 gears and wanted to go bigger and trim the fenders to fit trying to get the ground clearance and the biggest tire that will fit but keep in from being to top heavy

i had a 79 bronco geared 4.56 with an automatic trans and i had 39.5 boggers and the gearing was perfect for street use and off roading. however you will not have super low crawl gearing like this but you can crawl anything at ure with that combo. you will need to trim the fenders though. but not much because that lift you have does not flex much at all.

That is what I am looking for to run 38 - 39.5 to get the better stance and clearance but keeping it low at the sametime if that makes sence
