I am currently in contact with an email scammer, asking about buying my honda 300ex for sale. I'm sure they picked it up off craigslist.
The guy wants pretty much all my info, that way he can paypal me the money for it, and have his associate pick it up.
This has felt like a scam since the first contact and was wondering how to proceed. MUAHHHAHAHAHA (evil Laugh)
:fuck-you:
Here is the conversation so far: What I said in Green, Him in RED.

Thanks for the mail. i would have loved to talk to you on phone, but
due to the nature of my work as i work as am a marine engineer, and i
mainly work offshore, our phone is down right now, but we can only
communicate with our base for now. i don't have access to my bank
account online as i don't have internet banking, but i can pay from my
paypal account, as i have my bank a/c attached to it, i will need you
to give me your paypal email address and your final asking price so i
can make the payments and please if you don't have a paypal account
yet, it is very easy to set up, go to www.paypal.com and get it set
up, after you have set it up, i will only need the e-mail address that
you use for the registration with paypal so as to put the money
through.
PS: you can end the auction on the site yourself, you will see a place
where u can end the auction and my pick up agent will come around to
do the signing of all necessary documents on my behalf after the
payment has been made. Get back to me with this following information
below asap.
Your PayPal e-Mail Address :
Your Full name:
What is the condition?
Are you the Original Owner?
Your Picked Up Location Address?
Best Regards,
Teni.

I'm not ready to give out that information just yet. I take internet security seriously. You said your communication is down, however you just responded to my email within 3 minutes, off of an AT&T phone, which means you have at least 3G service, which means you have more than enough service to call. I have a few questions.
What is you full name?
What is your paypal email?
What is your phone number?
What is your home mailing address?
I am not the original owner, and the ATV is in great shape. It cranks right up, and i would ride it anywhere.
Thanks,
Scott

I would be hesitant do business with an induvidual who does not respect the wishes of his employer, by sneaking around making unauthorized telephone calls on someone else phone. Trust is a major factor while dealing over the internet; this is not a good sign.

I think i'm going to let him think about it for a while, then ask him for a picture of him holding a stupid sign.

Not at any point was i seriously considering actually doing business with him. Just trying to figure out how far i want to push him.

Really...couldnt he even try?

I got the exact same first email last week for a motorcycle I was trying to sell. I smiled as I clicked delete, they aren't worth my time.

lol, i like the stupid sign picture. Maybe an NC4x4 fansign, or ...oooh...i know! a Charlie Wenzel sign!

HAHA..yeah, have him take a pic of himself with a sign that says "I am Charlie Wenzel"

Tell him to send payment. Then hestate to ship. When the payment bounces make him send overnight check. Then tell him you changed your mind.

Make him pay as much as you can so maybe he will give up if it costs him more than he makes.

Most of the time their FedEx/DHL/UPS or whatever are shipped on stolen id numbers, and these big companies don't notice because they ship so much. These guys don't pay a dime for anything, they just steal shit.

This, holding a sign with the current data and "I love Mac".

Then find out who's account it is and report it to them.

Thanks for the prompt response.. I am really interested in buying your
item but i am not in town at the moment as i am a marine engineer

calls and visiting of website are restricted but i squeezed out time
to check this advert and send you an email regarding it. I really want
it to be a surprise for my dad so i wont let him know anything about
it until it gets delivered to him, i am sure he will be more than
happy with it. will be making the payment via paypal because i don't
have access to my bank account online as i don't have internet
