1. I can go all out and build a tube bed for the rear.......advantages=can beat the hell out of it, can beat the hell out of it, will provide some protection in a flop/roll, and oh yeah, i can beat the hell out of it. Disadvantages=Ugly, taco is still the full-time dd, and will be for another 1.5-2 years. Costs money.....money Im using to finish gearing axles with and using to tie up loose ends from the sas.......... Also my truck will lose all usefullness as a work truck(which would suck moving back and forth from school, and doing little side jobs and what not)
2. Bob it around 13 inches. Advantages= I would get to keep the tailgate, and keep some sort of a box on the truck to do some things with(move, work, etc.). If i did the bob i would have to do some body work, which means the rest of the gashes and scars down both sides of the bed may get some attention and make the taco look a little better for the ladies . Its cheap, wouldnt cost much at all. Also, it would help me keep it out of the rocks somewhat.....
Disadvantages= Makes the bed so short ALL i would be able to fit in there are the 37 inch spare, hi-lift and toolbox......i had planned on getting a trailer for those long wheeling trips anyhow. Theres still some sheetmetal there to get damaged, although less likely, its still something to worry about and try to keep halfway decent.......
3.Leave it the F-A-W-K alone. Keep the huge dents and scars in it and go for more! Besides, chicks love body damage right?
