My boss bought a 72 all original w/ the Turbo 350, He wanted to know what transfer case is in it,and if it holds gear oil or ATF, and if it shares fluid w/ the transmission.

I would guess if it is a turbo 350 that means it has the Th350 transmission?

It is an automatic, factory locking hubs if that makes a difference.

Thanks for any info

i'd guess a np203. Crawl under it and read the tag....

If still original it will be a NP205 and will not share the atf with the trans. It should have grease in it.If it's overfull with atf the seals between the trans and case have failed allowing the fluid to come thru.

if it is an np203 than it wouldnt have the manual lock out hubs on it unless at some point someone installed a conv. kit on it...otherwise its probably a 205...
