Yes that is a Willys Utility Wagon. It's a '50-'53 model.
The easiest way to id these is the grill and windshield. That grill was used 50-53. The flat grill was 46-49. The 5 bar grill was 54-60 except in 55 when the horizontal bars were spaced differently. The onepiece windshields started in 59.
Blazeproc you're right, out of all the Jeeps I've had the wife liked my 59 Utility Wagon the most.
Brings back memories of my first Jeep, a '48 Wagon with a flat head four cylinder, three on the tree, a knob that you pulled out to engage the overdrive. Bought it in November of '73 for $100.00. Only two wheel drive, though.
Ray, my 48 Jeepster has that same set up 3 on the tree with overdrive knob. $100 wow, don't find deals like that anymore, but I guesse 25+ years ago that may have been fair.
no doubt.
wish I had a minute to run down and talk to the guy.
I bet that thing would be fun to drive.
Pictures don't do justice - it really is in great condition. (pictures through the window don't help)
