I'm throwing around ideas in my head about what to do with my truck and found a set of 1 ton dually axles. I would run the stock dually front and get a srw 14bolt for the rear. With stock H1's and 38's or so id be around 84" from outside of tire to outside of tire. Is this too wide for most of the trails around here?

what overall width are most of yall at?

thanks

you could run a van width rear and and get closer to matching the width of the front axle... the setup your talking is whats under 86m1008beater's truck... people are running widths all the way up to 104" which is the legal max (iirc)

i ran drw on my 60 for a while, hummer wheels recentered to 3.5" backspacing. I thought it looked ok at first, but then it was just too wide and more than that, the scrub radius when turning sucks. I thought the wide stance would help me, but when i finally switched to srw hubs i liked it 100 times better. I just felt i had more control overall. just my input

edit:
woops, misread about the stock backspacing on the h1 wheels. in your situation, id say go for it, ive seen it done many of times.

I'm running a DRW 60 with stock H1s, a DRW 70 with 2.5" spacers on each side. 85" from outside to outside front, 84" rear.
