Cant get into the BBS. A usename and password box pops up.
Says "Upgrade In Progress"

Damn guys I'm not a complete idiot.

I didnt know if they were doing anything specifically like adding a new section to the forum. I think they were thinking about adding a Toyota Newbie section.
 
No, a software update came out a couple of days ago. That's the only sort of thing you have to take the board offline for. Adding subforums and that sort of thing can be done while the board is running.
 
good, maybe the board wont be as slow or make all those multiple posts like it has been.

There is a thread in Chit-chat on PBB that you can ask for email notification of board upgrades, routine board maint, and such prior to them being performed.
I find it useful in planning my evening routine, knowing if I should or should not surf the PBB.

I would bet there are quite a few people who care if pirate is down.

I realize pirate is a huge board thats hard to keep up and isnt free either, but i personally don't think they should charge for search usage, I mean pirate has become more than just a forum, its basically like the encyclopedia for 4wheelin and I just don't think they should make people pay to look up info, kinda like bein charged to use google or yahoo, know what I'm sayin.
 
So then use google to search the PBB.
 
I dont understand why people wont drop a whopping 20 big ones to SUPPORT a great site. Drop 5 cents into a jar everyday for a year then use that for next years Pirate subscription. It cost like 15 dollars to subscibe to a 4x4 rag and for about the same price you can have Pirate which kicks any of the mags in the ass.

I support this site and PBB. Hell both have saved me 20x that meager amount.

I would go to a 100% pay only site if they were mine. Would surely weed out some idiots.
 
I have been paying $20 for almost 4 years I think and I wil not stop..

Shoot I have won so much stuff it has already paid for itself 100 times over and that is not including the knowledge :)
